This project was another very extensive remodel. It was taken down to the framing, and rotten areas were removed and replaced. Then it was insulated with a combination of blown in closed cell foam in the framing and ridgid foam on the outside of the framing to provide for a very tight building envelope. The foundation was also waterproofed and wrapped with a french drain to add much needed longevity to the structure of the house.
Some of the old siding was salvageable. We flipped these boards over to expose their unpainted back sides, installed them on the garage and stained them. The rest of the house was sided with freshly milled wood.
The interior was completely redone and includes a wide variety of custom wood work and tile. A very nice kitchen was part of the package.
A heat recovery ventilator was also installed to keep the interior air fresh.
